Optimization of SBR Sequence

In a SBR the sewage is treated in different sequences. The suspended solids meter ITX can be used to measure and control the MLSS and blanket level.

During the aerobe nitrification and the anaerobic de-nitrification fazes the ITX will ensure that the amount of suspended solids (MLSS) is kept at an optimal level. Placing the ITX sensor at a certain level in the SBR-tank, it is able to stop the decanting at the right level and also that decanting faze could start earlier without the risk of sludge wash out.
